M78 (NGC 2069) a diffuse nebula in Orion.
M78, the brightest diffuse reflection nebula in the sky as seen from our perspective. It is a large cloud of dust centered on the Orion nebula M42/M43. This image includes the recently rediscovered nebula named
McNeil's nebula.
